How it all began…Madrid has been
missing a group
like this for years
We’re a modern, pop music choir that’s all about joy, not perfection (though let’s be real—we sound pretty awesome).
After taking a long break from professional singing, I (Jemma) realised something was missing. I had lost my love for music because it wasn’t a regular part of my life anymore. Cue some serious soul searching, and with the encouragement of the fabulous, Julie Coles I found my way back to the stage. It honestly felt like waking up from a coma. How had I gone all those years without this?
That’s when it hit me: singing isn’t just about hitting notes or releasing feel-good hormones (though we definitely do that). Singing literally changes how you show up every day—how confident you feel, how you see yourself, how you move through the world.
I wanted to share that transformation with everyone. Here’s the truth: we can all sing. It’s as natural as walking or talking.
Maybe you’re not in tune with your voice yet because you haven’t used it this way, but your voice is a muscle. Once you start, it gets stronger, freer, and more beautiful.
That’s why I started Feel Good Choir. The name says it all: joy, connection, music, confidence. No matter how you sing, where you come from, or what’s going on in your life, you can come to Feel Good Choir for an hour every week and feel like your problems have melted away. That adrenaline and joy carry you into your week, making Mondays (and Tuesdays) something to look forward to instead of dread.
We’re a beautiful mix of voices and abilities. Our pop song arrangements work for everybody, and when we finally nail a song together? It’s the most incredible feeling in the world.

Hi, I’m Jemma a professional singer and the director of Feel Good Choir
I believe we can all sing and with a little practice our voices grow stronger. Singing is one of the most powerful ways to connect with ourselves and with others.
After over ten years living in Madrid, I saw how many expats and locals craved community, confidence, but lacked a welcoming space to find it. So I created it.
Now, what began as one weekly rehearsal has grown into a community of singers, flashmobs, karaoke nights, and jam sessions—all designed to help you feel at home in your voice and in this city.
